Limbería Tropical Algarete

Limbería Tropical Algarete is a Puerto Rican-inspired family business in Willimantic, Connecticut, that recently celebrated 10 years of serving our community. When I started this journey, my vision was to bring a little piece of Puerto Rico to Connecticut through something that reminds so many of us of home 🙏 limbers, the traditional Puerto Rican frozen treat.

Over the years, Algarete has grown into so much more. Today, our menu includes our traditional limbers, specialty frappes, strawberries & cream, refreshers, lemonades, desserts, and other creative treats, while still keeping the Puerto Rican flavor, personality, and culture that inspired us from the beginning.

But what I am most proud of is what we have built beyond the food. Limbería Tropical Algarete has become a place where families gather, people reconnect with memories of home, and our community feels welcomed. We love supporting local events, collaborating with other small businesses and entrepreneurs, and finding ways to give back to the community that has supported us for the past decade.

Reaching our 10-year anniversary was incredibly meaningful to me. What started as a dream has grown through hard work, perseverance, creativity, and the support of an amazing community. And after 10 years, I still feel like we are just getting started.
