framed etching by Henri Le Riche, Paris, Notre Dame Cathedral, signed, vintage, French etching by Wantiquities
It's me, the infamous Wan of Wantiquities. I have always loved antiques and auctions. Through my Etsy shop, I share my treasures with others that appreciate the unique nature of vintage and unusual goods.
FOR YOUR SHOPPING PLEASURE may I present a vintage signed etching by Henri Le Riche. He lived from 1866 to 1944. This beautiful piece is signed and colored. The top part (measures 7 x 5) is a picture of people strolling along the Seine, with the Notre Dame cathedral in the background. It is bittersweet to see, knowing that the Cathedral burned recently. Below this colorful vignette is a 2 x 3 inch detailed etching of the Cathedral itself, also a nice clear pencil signature. The matted opening is 8 x 9 inches, the wooden frame with gold trim is 13 x 14. The cream colored matte has darkened around the edges, but the etching has no damage due to exposure to light. (I would recommend re-matting this).
My shipping costs include insurance, safe packaging and postage. The weight is affected by the amount of packing materials required to make sure your purchase arrives undamaged.
