The new Starbucks at 212 Spencer Street (Shoprite parking lot) will open their doors next Tuesday, December 12th! Starbucks will open their brand-new building, which includes a larger drive-thru queue than their last location, as well as a large outdoor patio! The new location will be open from 5am to 8pm.

Starbucks closed their old location last week at 185 Spencer Street in anticipation for the move. This location will not be vacant for long! A new tenant is already in the works! Stay tuned!

The redevelopment of Geissler’s Supermarket Plaza in South Windsor could be moving forward after the Commission and Developers came to a ‘Stipulated Agreement.’

The agreement would include the developer withdrawing their lawsuit against the town; an action that the developer recently filed in Court. The lawsuit was originally filed after the Planning and Zoning commission stipulated that sidewalks had to be added along Sullivan Avenue; a road controlled by the State.

The redevelopment would see new apartments build to the left of the current plaza. The current plaza would be modernized with a new facade, as well as new tenants to file the nearly empty plaza.

The agreement is still subject to town approval.
