Join us tomorrow night for the last Food Truck Friday of the season! Dine al fresco on cuisine from local food trucks and toast to the season with beverages from Heritage’s own Lilly’s Café. Listen to live music, take part in themed activities, stroll through gorgeous gardens, and more. Themes and featured activities change monthly, so there is always something new to do and discover! All activities are free with admission or membership (food and drink purchased separately). No advance registration required.

Folks can take an Otherworldly-themed scavenger hunt throughout the gardens and galleries for a prize, make a unicorn necklace to take home, listen to a live music performance by Sunshine Plan, play lawn games, and build with giant blue blocks. Last one, best one!

Food trucks include Seafood Sam’s: Fish on the Fly, The Local Scoop, The Filling Station, and Adobo Republic.

Attention Cape Cod history buffs! We’ve got a fantastic event for you: the Creating Cape Cod Discussion with Director of Collections & Exhibitions Jennifer Madden and author and historian James O’Connell. Join Jennifer and James for a fascinating discussion as they look back to a time over a hundred years ago when the Cape’s faltering economy and dropping population prompted the decision by community leaders to promote tourism as the answer to the region’s woes. Marketing the Cape as a place where history lived on through rugged sea captains and hard-working fishermen, and historic windmills and lighthouses, their efforts to draw tourists were more successful than anyone could have imagined. And a special treat will be a Creating Cape Cod catalog signing afterward.

Due to the Tropical Storm Warning from Hurricane Lee, which will affect us this evening and into Saturday carrying high sustained winds and rain, we are proactively closing Heritage Museums & Gardens to visitors on Saturday, September 16. Our buildings, grounds, and ticketing will be closed and will not be open to the public.

If you purchased tickets for Saturday, September 16, we will contact you to issue a refund; should you want to reschedule your tickets instead of receiving a refund, or if you have additional questions, please contact tickets@heritagemuseums.org
