white glass tripod bowl, clear highlights blue iridescence, possibly Duncan Miller, sanibal, Eapg,Klondyke Northwood,Fenton, candy dish by Wantiquities
This sweet bowl is 8 inches in diameter. I keep one on my nightstand to corral my jewelry when I go to bed.
You could use this to organize jewelry or serve candy. OR just admire it!
This pressed glass bowl has a scalloped top, fluted sides and a wavy interior. It combines clear glass with iridescent glass, milk glass and bluish luster highlights. The luster glass reminds me of an opal. The clear glass allows background colors to shine through. Look how it pops against the purple background! It is unmarked so I don't know the maker – I purchased it at an estate sale because I liked the aesthetic. I can't adequately describe this piece of pressed glass…I hope you enjoy admiring it as much as I enjoyed photographing it!
The EAPGS website defines this as Klondyke by Northwood PA, 1898. Who knew!?
Makes a nice gift!
