Janet Dauphin
I’ve always been attracted to colored glass, from the vibrant candy-like colors to more subdued, natural hues. Fusing glass is like an alchemy of its own. I love the smooth flow and graceful contours of the finished product. I work in my barn studio, overlooking my alpaca herd, and much of my inspiration comes from the nature, often with a touch of whimsy. Glass is cut and carefully placed, then fired to the desired temperature in my kiln. Glass transforms in the firing process, colors change and shapes soften. I never know what treasures I might find when I open my kiln!
