Michelle (Micky) Welles

Micky Welles is a fine artist and illustrator working in pen and ink, pastels, oils, acrylics and watercolor. She started her art career working part time as a technical illustrator for an environmental consulting firm, while raising three children.
In 2010, at her husband’s encouragement, she decided to follow her dream and started studying and working as a fine artist. Her favorite subjects are still life, pet portraits and building portraits.

She has held several solos shows in Connecticut and has exhibited in group shows at gallery128 in New York City, with the Connecticut Juried Art Exhibit at the Slater Memorial Museum, The Lyme Art Association, Arts of Tolland, Windham Regional Arts Council member shows, Manchester Art Association, Glastonbury Arts and Tolland County Arts.
Micky’s art is in several Connecticut public locations, including the Windham Town Hall and the Corpus Christi Catholic Community, as well as being in many private collections.
