Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA)

Since 1965, Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA) has been helping people in eastern Connecticut get the support they need—from essential services to programs that ease the challenges of poverty and build a path toward stability and opportunity. We provide 37 programs and partner with federal, state and municipal organizations, regional non-profits, service providers, educational organizations and area businesses and community groups to address housing, food security, employment needs, education, and basic needs, with a focus on building the community’s self-sufficiency and resiliency. Our vision is to help people access services they need at a local level, with the goal of guiding our entire community toward economic independence and sustainability.
