What we collect

• Things you submit: listing, event, shop, Local Buzz, edit and contact form details, and any photos you upload. You don't need an account.
• Your email, if you choose to give it: kept private and never shown on the site.
• Location, only if you allow it: used in your browser to show nearby results. We don't store it.
• Usage data: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited. It uses cookies and collects general information like pages viewed, device type and approximate location.
• Ask Local questions: the questions you type are processed by an AI service to generate an answer.

How we use it

• To review and publish community submissions. Only approved, public details (like a business name, town and description) appear on the site.
• To email you about your submission, such as confirming we received it and letting you know when it's published, or to reply to your message.
• To improve the site.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't send marketing emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Sharing

Approved listings and events may also appear on partner organizations' directories and calendars and in our mobile app. We use trusted service providers to host the site, send email, and provide analytics; they only handle your information to provide those services.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or remove your submission or your email at any time through our contact form. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Children

The site is meant for a general audience and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their personal information.
