Perennials, hanging baskets, herbs, flowering annuals, vegetable plants, patio planters......we grow something for everyone!!!! A special feature that we like to mention is our watering system. We utilize Ebb And Flood benches that allow us to recapture our water for re-use. It's an amazing system that helps us grow such high-quality plant material; it's very interesting to see this system in action! In the fall, we transform to The Mum Farm and sell the thousands of mums we grow. We grow mums in every color category and flowering time so that there are fresh choices throughout the fall season. We also grow pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, and decorative corn. Fall is a beautiful time at our farm. We'd like to thank all the customers who have supported us throughout the years. In addition, we grow 20 acres of row crop vegetables, tomatoes, melons and strawberries on our Essex Farm that are picked fresh daily when in season. Our farm stand is filled with an expansive array of produce during the summer and fall months, including the fruits grow at our neighboring Deep River farm, Scotts CT Valley Orchards. We also happily supplement what we grow with the best that other local farms have to offer, including honey. In late July our cutting garden opens for Cut Your Own Flowers, sold by the pound. We invite all of our customers to come experience the eclectic array of beautiful flowers to make their own unique bouquets. Our garden is great for do-it-yourself wedding flowers, parties, showers, gifts or just to enjoy at home!
